The team at HCBL has been active in carbon markets since the beginning of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and was part of the UK’s delegation for the 25th United Nations Conference of the Parties in Madrid, representing UK commercial clients. HCBL works with Base Carbon to identify large scale carbon reduction projects, drawing from a wide portfolio of investable opportunities around the world.

Base Carbon has entered into a letter of intent with the Danish Red Cross to evaluate, assess, and potentially develop one or more blue carbon projects in Southeast Asia.

Founded in 2007, VNV’s community-led programs on climate action have covered over 7 million rural households and encompass over 3 million hectares of forestry, agriculture & conservation efforts in 16+ countries.
Base Carbon, in partnership with VNV, is facilitating the planting of approximately 6.5 million trees on degraded rural farmlands and fertile but arid deserted lands in northern India.
